Since 1976 when the first Honda Accord was produced, it has undergone diverse modifications almost every year up to date.
The Honda Accord is the best selling midsize sedan in the United States of America. In Nigeria, it might not be the best selling midsize sedan but it is definitely one of the popular Honda brands in the country. It will be safe to say that the Honda Accord has and is still serving its time on Nigerian roads. This is because it is very easy to spot a really old model on our roads.
The 2023 Honda Accord will continue to serve as a reminder that the best family-friendly vehicle isn’t always a bigger and bulkier SUV. For years, the Honda Accord has been a popular choice among midsize sedans thanks to its value, fuel economy, nimble handling, and spacious cabin.
2023 Honda Accord Exterior
The 2023 Honda Accord wouldn’t experience any major changes to the exterior. However, we expect a more squared-off front end, and it wouldn’t surprise us if Honda decided to clean up the rear pillar area and the back end. A lower, stronger shoulder line, reworked headlights and simplified tail lights.
2023 Honda Accord Interior
As for major interior updates, the next Accord will likely crib buttons, knobs and switches from the Honda Civic. The dashboard will have a more linear design, the instrument cluster in front of the driver will feature new tech, and other niceties like the Bose sound system will likely be available on higher trims. We also expect adjustments to the Accord’s interior dimensions for a bit more room inside.
However, instead of the 2022 Accord’s “half digital, half analogue” gauge cluster, the 2023 Accord will have a fully digital version.
Also, the current Accord comes with an eight-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, four audio speakers, and Bluetooth as standard equipment. Available tech features include navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless smartphone compatibility, a wireless charging pad, and 10 audio speakers.
2023 Honda Accord Trims
Honda’s trim structure is unified across most of its products, and the next Accord will follow the same style. The available trims for the 2023 Honda Accord are LX, Sport, Sport Special Edition, EX-L and Touring trims. A Hybrid trim will also be introduced in the 2023 model.
2023 Honda Accord Specifications
|Fuel Tank Capacity||N/A|
2023 Honda Accord Price
In its basic format, the 2023 Accord Sport is expected to cost about 14 million ($28,000). At its upper limit, a loaded Accord Touring should sticker in the region of 19 million naira ($38,000).
2023 Honda Accord Buying Guide
As at the time of this writing, we can’t really say which of the trims you should purchase but bear in mind that some of the Honda Accord’s midsize competitors, such as the Toyota Camry, offer a traction-enhancing all-wheel-drive system. However, like the 2022 Accord, the 2023 Accord will probably only offer a front-wheel-drive system.
2023 Honda Accord Safety Features
The current Accord comes standard with the automaker’s Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety features. Standard equipment on the Accord includes forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam assist, and a driver drowsiness monitor. Available features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a head-up display, a rear-seat alert, and parking sensors. These features should remain the same for 2023.
2023 Honda Accord Release Date
An official release date is yet to be announced to the public. However, it is expected that the automobile will be made available before the year rounds off.
An all-new Accord is on the way, and we expect a number of small changes that add up to a big improvement on the current car. The Honda Accord will compete with the likes of Mazda6, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Hyundai Sonata, and Kia K5
